For years now, in the city of Vallerano, about 30 minutes from Nepi, in a fairytale landscape, a breathtaking atmosphere, an event that is really hard to miss has been organized: The Night of Candles (in italian La Notte delle Candele).
A particular cultural event, which takes place along a magical path that guides the public, increasingly numerous over the years, to discover an artistic journey between sounds, images and magnetic impressions and fascinating places that rediscover their proverbial and enchanting nature; a return to origins, an encounter with beauty, a night full of magic.
With the growing attention of visitors, the quality of the artistic offer and the particularity of the event, it brought The Night of Candles to the attention of local and national press, news agencies, major local news sites and Rai (main italian television broadcast).
Since 2016 this “magical atmosphere” has also managed to enhance other “jewel villages” outside the national borders, with two editions in the municipality of PALS in Catalunya (Spain) and, since 2018, in the principality of Andorra, more precisely in the delightful mountain village of Ordino.
It is important to remember that The Night of Candles is the final event of the “Little Night Serenas” festival which takes place every year in the enchanting Oratorio Square in Vallerano, an incredible natural theater, during the last week of August.
A festival full of original and quality musical proposals. A cultural and temporal melting-pot that the artistic direction immediately wanted to impose on the event.
From jazz to opera, from swing to classical music, from ethnic to folk and popular, from Neapolitan music to Romanesque Stornelli, from Jewish to Mediterranean tradition. In short, in recent years, everything has been “seen and heard”.
