Historical-Renaissance reenactment held in the city of Nepi every year during the first three weeks of June.
Participants will be able to enjoy a beautiful historical re-enactment enriched with ladies, knights, warriors and nobles of a time now past. The splendid nepesino village is brought back in those days to the flourishing Renaissance era under the aegis of the Borgia family.
Every year there is a real journey back in time, during which games, challenges, music, dances and dinners are recalled in the suggestive taverns that are located within the four districts with which the town was divided : San Biagio, La Rocca, Santa Maria and Santa Croce.
The start of the celebrations is usually given by the suggestive dinner within the walls of the Rocca Borgiana, the main local attraction, called “Al Desco dei Borgia” with a rich medieval banquet, embellished with local products such as cured meats, figs, ricotta and honey, mushroom croutons, soups and roasted meats.
The delivery of the keys to the city to the character of Lucrezia Borgia, lady of the fiefdom, together with the competition of the archers and the joust of knights is certainly one of the main events of the wonderful event.
